The Arcam AVR550
With 7 x 110W of high-end audiophile power behind it, the Arcam AVR550 was created to deliver fantastic music reproduction from all music sources, in addition to a state-of-the-art surround sound cinema performance without equal at the price. Fully equipped with the latest sound processing modes (Dolby Atmos/ 4K UHD/ DTS-HD) and ten HDMI input/ output ports, the AVR550 can for the central hub of a very high-performance home entertainment system.
Dirac Live room compensation allows you to fine-tune the output of the AVR550 to enable your room acoustics to be nulled from the overall sound presentation - unwanted bloom or sharpness in reproduction are automatically dealt with, yielding the most natural, airy sound reproduction ever experienced. Spotify Connect is enabled to allow streaming of your favourite artists music, plus unlimited radio stations from across the globe. In order to achieve the highest possible performance from this FMJ product, we thoroughly recommend you ask us to calibrate and install this product for you in the comfort of your home
Who is Arcam?
Arcam is a well-established UK manufacturer of quality hifi components, based just outside of the world-famous University of Cambridge. The company began in 1976, founded by two music enthusiasts with a passion for electronics. The company was initially named Amplification & Recording Cambridge, before shorting to A&R Cambridge, and eventually to the snappier and more impacting name that we know today; 'ARCAM'.
