Audiolab Q-DAC
Borrowing the majority of the circuitry from the M-DAC, the new Audiolab QDAC offers excellent value for money and all the connectivity you could need. To save room in the case an external power supply is used, making upgrades to the PSU easy.
Analogue left and right outputs are available on RCA phono sockets, which will suit the majority of hifi systems. Digital outputs on both optical toslink and RCA coax are also available. Three digital inputs are provided via USB, coax and optical.
Twin 12V trigger outputs (for example to bring a stereo amplifier out of standby) are also on offer via 3.5mm mini jack connectors.
On the front panel push button controls are provided for power on/ off, volume up / down, source selection and menu. A headphone socket is also positioned on the front panel. Volume control is still a feature, but is achieved via the supp;lied remote control, rather than a front panel control knob.
A superb sounding, musical DAC at an affordable price, with great build quality to boot.
Both black and silver finishes are on offer.
