Regardless of how clean an AC power source is, distortion will always be added within any AC cable, especially cable with a stranded design. Even the most adept and sophisticated mains condition units and power supplies can no remove the cable-induced distortion. A quality power cable though, can reduce these parasitic effects and have a direct effect on the quality of your audio system.

SOLID PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER+ (PSC+) CONDUCTORS:

Perfect-Surface Copper, as can be assumed by the name, features a truly smooth and pure surface, thanks to the proprietary metal processing technology used in its construction. This technology protects the surface of the the wire at every step of drawing and fabrication. When high-purity, low-oxide copper is kept soft, pure and smooth - it forms a truly superlative conductor, with absolute minimal distortion. Conventional interconnect cables often struggle with electrical and magnetic interaction between stands, which tends to be the greatest source of unwanted audio distortion, usually resulting in a dirty or harsh sound. These quality conductors and refusal to compromise are what make AudioQuest's cables so exemplary. The PSC+ conductors undergo the same process as the PSC ones, but instead comprises of a truly ultra-pure copper for the best possible signal transmission.

COUNTER-SPIRAL HYPERLITZ:

This high quality cable uses AudioQuest's counter-spiral geometry. This means that it has an inner circular array of positive conductors that spiral in one direction, while wrapped around this inner group of conductors are the negative conductors which spiral in the other direction. Even when the negative conductors are crossing each-other, as opposed to being parallel, the relationship between the positive and negative groups is fixed and does not change. This exemplifies one of AudioQuest's most first and foremost design philosophies: consistency. The result is a superlative level of clarity, across every microdynamic of the audio. AudioQuest use the analogy of 'focusing a camera lens you had no idea was so far out of focus'.
