AudioQuest Water RCA/XLR Interconnect

The 'Water' analogue interconnect is the first model within AudioQuest's Elements series and features a plethora of technologies and intricate construction methods in order to offer the safest and least corrupted signal transfer possible

SOLID PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER+ (PSC+) CONDUCTORS:

Perfect-Surface Copper, as can be assumed by the name, features a truly smooth and pure surface, thanks to the proprietary metal processing technology used in its construction. This technology protects the surface of the the wire at every step of drawing and fabrication. When high-purity, low-oxide copper is kept soft, pure and smooth - it forms a truly superlative conductor, with absolute minimal distortion. Conventional interconnect cables often struggle with electrical and magnetic interaction between stands, which tends to be the greatest source of unwanted audio distortion, usually resulting in a dirty or harsh sound. These quality conductors and refusal to compromise are what make AudioQuest's cables so exemplary. The PSC+ conductors undergo the same process as the PSC ones, but instead comprises of a truly ultra-pure copper for the best possible signal transmission.

TRIPLE-BALANCED GEOMETRY:

This cable features a unique conductor configuration known as 'Triple-Balanced'. This means that when used in either an RCA or XLR application, the positive and negative signals have equally low-distortion conducting paths. The shield gives 100% coverage while never being used as a lesser conductor, ensuring the integrity of the signal being passed through the interconnect itself.

Polyethene AIR-TUBE INSULATION:

When a solid material adjoins a conductor, it actually exists as an element within an imperfect circuit. The insulation of the wire and the materials that make up the circuit board all absorb energy, which equates to a loss. Some of this energy is stored within the component and then released as distortion. The conductors within this AudioQuest cable utilise PE Air-Tube insulation in order to counteract and prevent this distortion from occurring. This is achieved because air absorbs essentially no energy while Polyethylene is a low-loss material and has a very low, practically non-existent distortion profile.

CARBON-BASED 6-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS):

This cable also benefits from the innovative Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System, often shortened easily to NDS. Poor quality cables that use minimal shielding techniques can often act as aerials for parasitic RF frequency interference, passing these signals through your system and affecting the sound of your music. AudioQuest believes that 100% shield coverage is simple. Using their Noise-Dissipation System, RF interference is captured and prevented from modifying the electronic component's ground reference. NDS simply prevents a significantly large amount of potential RFI from ever reaching the equipment's ground plane, whether that piece of equipment is hifi-based, home cinema or otherwise. AudioQuest ensures that this cable is truly protected from these interferences by using both metal and carbon-loaded synthetics in 6-layer design, preventing most RFI from ever reaching the ground plane of the electrical component.

COLD-WELDED HANGING-SILVER DIRECTLY OVER PURE RED COPPER PLUGS:

Solder is known to be a common source of distortion within interconnect, AudioQuest counter this using a cold-welded design. This plug configuration does not use solder in its construction. Because the shells of the cable are pressed instead of machined, AudioQuest is able to choose the metal construction based on sound quality, rather than how easy is to the machine. Purple copper provides a far cleaner and clearer sound than can be achieved with nickel-plated or OFHC metals typically found in other branded cable plugs. This outstanding quality is further improved by the use of hanging silver, as silver is regarded to be one of the best electrical conductors available. The result is a pure signal transfer and an exemplary sound quality. This result is further enhanced by the use of RED copper, which is superior in quality and connectivity than lesser metals.

Who is Audioquest?

AudioQuest is one of the most well-regarded cable manufacturers in the world, with each cable seeing a level of meticulous detail in both its aesthetic construction, as well as intuitive engineering within to provide an impressive performance. Regardless of whether the cable in question be an analogue or digital interconnect, speaker cable, subwoofer cable or anything with Audioquest's badge on it - only the finest quality materials and construction expertise are used to form an exceptional, industry-leading product.
