The Bowers and Wilkins CCM382 In-Ceiling Speakers

Bowers & Wilkins integrate this superlative standard of attention to detail and exemplary innovation into their in-ceiling/in-wall loudspeakers. The CCM382 features an 8" profile and is a two-way loudspeaker that's been balanced for wide-angle listening. Square baffles are available, but the speakers come with a round baffle as standard. The grille covering the driver unit can be painted to match the colour of the ceiling, while its exceptionally slim border design aids in retaining a discrete and unobtrusive appearance. Combine these with a Sonos Amp stored neatly in the ceiling space and the result is an almost spectral music performance, seemingly as though the music itself is simply 'there' with little indication of where it's coming from. 

The driver componentry itself exists of a single 160mm (8 inches) polypropylene cone, which caters to the bass and midrange aspects of the sound being reproduced. This larger cone means that more air and the subsequent sound is pushed by the CCM382, over the CC362 which features a 6" driver unit. Neatly located within the centre of this bass/midrange driver is a 25m (1 inch) soft-dome tweeter, which reproduces the high-end frequency aspect of the music in a true Bowers & Wilkins fashion; accurate.
