The AH-MM400 from Denon is the company's flagship headphone model, designed and constructed to reflect the company's dedicated to retaining the musical integrity of every source. They're professionally tuned for a flat EQ, in order to deliver a reference level standard of natural tonal balance, resulting in an unflavoured and totally true sound that reflects the nature of the original musical performance.
The earcups are comprised of hand-carved and natural American walnut, acting as a high quality, anti resonant cabinet for the componentry within. The over-ear design allows for long listening periods, and also offers a better level of passive acoustic isolation, meaning that you're less likely to be disturbed by environmental noise and interference.
These earcup housings are attached a lightweight and adjustable headband, connected by aluminium alloy die-cast hangers. These hangers utilise a resonance-free construction, and are highly rigid to ensure a durable result. They're also collapsible, allowing them to be placed into the supplied carrying pouch for optimal portability.
The drivers themselves are 40mm in size, and are built with carbon/paper composite blent diaphragms, connected to high quality neodymium magnets - enhanced even further using Denon's specific Free Edge technology, allowing the headphone to extend its frequency response up to 40kHz.
