To celebrate the company's impressive 90 years of operation, ELAC have redeveloped and re-released their acclaimed audiophile turntable, dubbed the 'Miracord'. Miracord's chassis is built from 5.5kg of solid MDF, allowing for a minimal high frequency resonance, further enhanced by newly developed silicon rubber feet. The platter itself is constructed from a single 35mm piece of aluminium, weighing 6.5kg. This is resting on a smaller platter with a hardened steel axle.

The motor has been dually decoupled from the chassis to drastically reduce the chance of parasitic, mechanical noise. An optical sensor is constantly analysing and reading the speed of the platter, sending the information to a micro-controller. This ensures that the turntable operates at the right speed at all times, ensuring an accurate listening experience regardless of whether or not you're playing LPs or EPs. 

The tonearm used by Miracord is built and engineered in Germany, specifically for this turntable. The tonearm consists of a carbon fibre tube construction, with brass and aluminium elements and accents. A high-end ELAC-branded Audio Technica cartridge with a micro-line diamond stylus is mounted to the tonearm as standard.
