Featuring many innovative features which enhance sound quality, the Epos Epic 1 bookshelf speakers are solidly constructed from internally braced 18mm thick MDF, and finished in a high quality vinyl wood veneer of either cherry or black ash. A 25mm soft dome tweeter is detailed and fast in response, whilst the 150mm polypropylene bass midrange driver is reflex loaded leading to deeper, more extended bass and clear, transparent midrange. Simple second order crossover filters are constructed from metal oxide resistors and polypropylene capacitors for the most transparent sound quality possible. The speakers can be driven from amplifiers in the power output range of 20W to 100W. Gold plated bi-wired terminals on the rear allow the bookshelf speakers to connect using either two or four core speaker cable. Sounding best on tall open stands, Will also perform well when wall or bookshelf mounted.
