KEF Ci160QR In-Ceiling Speaker
KEF is a highly renowned, multi-award winning loudspeaker manufacturer whose high quality products can be found all over the world. KEF began in Maidstone Kent in 1961 by electrical engineer, Raymond Cooke. KEF is named after Kent Engineering & Foundry, which occupied the KEF site previously. Raymond Cooke was created OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 1979. KEF have produced products for the BBC, and have a vast range of products at many different price points.
When designing and engineering their range of in ceiling and in wall loudspeakers, KEF retained the philosophy of 'hiding your speakers, not your sound' in order to offer the home audio enthusiast the best possible sound achievable within a discrete and almost invisible aesthetic. The Ci series is able to deliver a phenomenally accurate response, complete with the three-dimension stereo sound imaging you'd expect from high-quality conventional loudspeakers.
The 160QR makes use of KEF's critically acclaimed 'sit anywhere' Uni-Q Driver array. This configuration sees the tweeter placed into the acoustic centre of the bass/midrange cone, allowing the sound to disperse evenly and widely throughout the room. This technology combined with KEF's Ultra Thin Bezel design allows for the best possible sound quality from a highly compact speaker with practically no visible rim around the outside. \ to position the speakers where you please.
