When designing and engineering their range of in ceiling and in-wall loudspeakers, KEF retained the philosophy of 'hiding your speakers, not your sound' in order to offer the home audio enthusiast the best possible sound achievable within a discrete and almost invisible aesthetic. The Ci series is able to deliver a phenomenally accurate response, complete with the three-dimension stereo sound imaging you'd expect from high-quality conventional loudspeakers.
The newly developed Ci series from KEF utilises a vast number of advanced technological features to allow the loudspeakers to perform at a truly astonishing standard. The Ci3160RL-THX is able to achieve a similar performance and match the acoustic capabilities of the original floorstanding loudspeaker that the model was named after, now complete with the same level of drama and emotional intensity, now found within a smaller and far more discrete aesthetic design.
The Ci3160RL-THX is built with a huge aluminium baffle, which has been precisely designed to eliminate unwanted resonance and is the perfect platform for the 160mm aluminium cone Uni-Q with a tangerine waveguide, and two 160mm woofers. The loudspeaker can be bi-wired and delivers the performance promise of all KEF Reference speakers. This loudspeaker is THX certified, making it an optimal choice for any film, TV or gaming fanatic looking to achieve the best possible sound reproduction from their favourite works, complete with phenomenally immersive surround sound to truly put you in the scene.
Who is KEF?
KEF is a highly renowned, multi-award winning loudspeaker manufacturer whose high-quality products can be found all over the world. KEF began in Maidstone Kent in 1961 by an electrical engineer, Raymond Cooke. KEF is named after Kent Engineering & Foundry, which occupied the KEF site previously. Raymond Cooke was created OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 1979. KEF has produced products for the BBC, and have a vast range of products at many different price points.
