Marantz M-CR511 Melody Stream System

Marantz is one of the world's most famous hifi brands and was started in 1948 by New Yorker, Saul Marantz, an amateur musician and audio enthusiast who was dissatisfied with the amplifier products available at that time. He decided to build phono pre-amps which could handle all manner of recording equalisations popular in the day, and his friends persuaded him to build them one too. This quickly took all of Saul's time, as he was overwhelmed with orders - the Marantz company we know today was born.

Marantz saw overwhelming success with their M-CR510 networking system, it's immediate successor is the M-CR511, which brings the same outstanding Marantz-famous build quality and sonic integrity, while also seeing a number of improvements to various componentry within. 

You can link the unit to your network with great ease, and no hassle - simply push the link-up button on the back. This has now been upgraded to high speed 11n, allowing for a faster and even more reliable connection. A brand new digital input can also be found on the back of the 511, allowing you to connect your television directly to the machine for an improved sound performance. A USB connection can be found on the front of the MCR511, but an additional USB input can be found on the back for added convenience. This USB will charge your apple devices, even when the 5111 is in standby mode. It's also capable of supporting ALAC, 192kHz / 24bit high resolution WAV, FLAC, AIFF files, and Gapless playback.

Spotify Connect has been integrated to the machine too, so you can stream directly to the 511 from the Spotify App on your device. The 511 can also access music stored on NAS drives, computers, or smart devices as well as internet radio. AirPlay is also supported, so your iDevices can talk to it directly.
