Designed using efficient, cool running class D amplifier technology, the Marantz NR1602 does not need large heatsinks to get rid of heat in the amplifier as conventional class AB amps do, hence it can be housed in a case much lower in profile than ever before. Marantz NR1602 does not skimp on features though - you will find a powerful 7 x 50W power amplifier, 4 x HDMI in and 1 out all 1.4a specification, which gives 3D compatibility, audio return channel and CEC control. Network streaming of music and other media is another key feature of Marantz NR1602, which also allows internet radio to be enjoyed. Apple Airplay technology gives you wireless streaming from your iPhone or iPod Touch for complete musical control. Although shipping with a hand held IR remote control, the Marantz NR1602 can be operated from iPhone or iTouch by downloading the fee Wizz App.
