Marantz' new SA-14S1 audiophile grade SACD player is designed to read and replay the signal of the CD to an uncompromising standard, retaining as much of the original sample as possible in order to immerse the listener to an experience that is true to the original performance of the music in question. This done by Marantz' dedication to using only the high quality components and most innovative construction methods, learned over many years of audio research and hifi construction.
Seated within the SA-14S1 is an oversized Toroidal transformer, and a robust power supply section, designed to generate clean, efficient power, while removing any potential noise or distortion that becomes present when internal components cross-contaminate each other. This allows the high quality disc mechanism to work efficiently and retrieve the excellent CD and SACD sound quality.
The CD player can also be used as a dedicated DAC. The DAC-mode of the SA-14S1 allows for optical and digital connections, as well as USB-B input for directly connecting a PC or laptop to the unit. This means that you are able to play your favourite tracks directly from your music library to your hifi system without hassle or compromising quality.
When used with a PC, the SA14S1 will replace your computer's soundcard, working entirely in asynchronous mode, which means that not only are 192kHz/24-bit high resolution file formats catered for, but also the DSD 2.8mHz and 5.6mHz. A USB input to the front allows you to connect a smart device directly to the player, and make the most out of your MP3, WAV and AAC formats.
