NuForce launched the P8S preamplifier to compliment their mono block power amp range. With the speed, timing and purity of signal, the sound stage of this diminutive little pre is quite astonishing. As with other NuForce amps, the design is based on their Analogue Switching technology and a digital design, which results in huge performance from a small box which doesn't get as hot as a traditional amplifier. In short, more of the energy that goes into this amp comes out as sound (rather than heat), resulting in a much purer and natural sounding perforamnce.
The P8S includes 3 phono inputs, iPod input and a headphone socket. Both phono and balanced XLR outputs are included to allow standard or balanced connection to a power amp. The remote includes volume, mute and input selection, so functions are basic, but this is intended to provide the best performance from a simple design.
Sound quality of the P8S is without peer at this price and produces a generously proportioned sound stage with all of the timing clues left intact. A superb partner for any high quality power amp, but will suit very well with any power amps from the Nu Force range.
