The NuForce 8.5 V2 shares the same circuitry as the Reference 9 mono block with a slightly lower power rating of 160W, but is still able to easily drive most speakers with ease. If you need a little more grunt or more headroom, you can upgrade to a NuForce Reference 9 mono block, otherwise the 8.5 V2 is something of a bargain relative to its stunning performance.
Featuring both balanced and phono inputs, at the price point few can match in terms of audio performance offered. For those used to Stereo power amps the world of the mono block needs exploring. Total channel separation projects a stunning and accurate musical image, enveloping the listener in the beauty and sonic definition.
