The A-50DA builds upon its predecessor, the A-50, as one of Pioneer's intermediate level two channel amplifiers, featuring a wealth of features and an unbeatable sound quality. Keeping in theme with Pioneer's design philosophy, the A-50DA utilises the most advanced construction methods and highest quality materials possible at its price point. In addition to this intricate and sophisticated amplification technology the DA model also sees the integration of a high quality ESS ES9016S DAC chipset. This DAC is capable of processing high resolution digital files such as DSD with up to 11.2 mH and PCM files in WAV or FLAC format up to 384 kHz / 32bit.
Designed to cater to the digital age, the A-50DA offers a truly quick response and delivers the closest possible representation of the original performance while retaining an accessible price. This Class D amplifier uses an innovative circuit layout, put together with the shortest possible signal paths. This means that any potential distortion is drastically reduced and signal interference kept to an absolute minimum. By separating and isolating the wirings to the power amp, pre amp and power supply elements of the unit - noise is eliminated even further, giving you an unrivalled clarity.
A Power Amp Direct Mode is also present, so that you are able to use the A-50 as a power amplifier in a multi-channel set-up, while Source Direct Mode offers a pure listening experience, altered to different music types.
To the rear of the unit, gold plated speaker terminals and audio inputs are included. This allows for a more stable connection and a purer signal transfer, while a parallel drive Schottky barrier diode increases the ‘quick response’ capability.
A multi-functional remote control is included.
