Every ProAc loudspeaker is crafted by hand with delicacy and meticulous attention to detail, with each solid cabinet constructed, acoustically-damped and then finished in real wood veneer.

Every ProAc bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeaker is hand-crafted, with their technicians individually responsible for the building and testing of each unit, from the flagship Response models to the diminutive Tablette bookshelf speaker. Build quality alone is unsurpassed, each cabinet being meticulously constructed, damped and finished in real wood veneer. 

The new two and a half way Proac Studio 148 is the replacement for the much loved  Studio 140Mk2 model. Sharing similar proportions to the outgoing model, the design aim for the Studio 148 was to improve sound quality over the 140 Mk2 - this has been achieved largely by replacing the bass/ midrange driver with a new doped paper cone design with integral phase plug enabling deep, powerful yet tight bass and a clear transparent midrange.

A much larger magnet assembly and better quality voice coil also contribute to the performance upgrade heard from the Studio 148 model. The tweeter section has also been upgraded to the higher performance tweeter featured in the Response D2.
