Every ProAc bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeaker is hand-crafted, with their technicians individually responsible for the building and testing of each unit, from the flagship Response models to the diminutive Tablette bookshelf speaker. Build quality alone is unsurpassed, each cabinet being meticulously constructed, damped and finished in real wood veneer.
The Tablette 10 is, as the name would suggest, the tenth incarnation of ProAc's Tablette speaker launched originally in the year of 1979. As part ofits new design construction, the Tablette 10 uses a thin walled and heavily damped infinite baffle enclosure, the same construction as can be found with the BBC LS3/5a. This means that, unlike a ported enclosure, placement is highly flexible and you don't have to worry about putting the Tablette 10 too close to a wall.
The internal crossover has been specifically designed for use within a sealed enclosure, while the network shapes the response in order to provide an even richer level of bass and add further transparency to the already highly dynamic midrange. The tweeter unit is the same 1-inch silk construction found on the company's other award-winning models.
