Project DAC Box S FL
The DAC Box S is Project's Box Design's entry-level Digital to Analogue Converter. As with all products within the Box Design series, the DAC Box S FL exists to be a mechanically sound piece of innovative audio playback technology, in a tiny and compact cabinet. Thanks to the DAC Box S' unique filterless design, oversampling is simply not an issue. The unit is designed to compliment CDs flawlessly and decodes their 16-bit/44.1kHz compression rate with ease.
Within the cabinet of the DAC, BOX S FL are four high-quality TDA-1543T DA-Chips, each of which utilises a parallel Dual Differential Mode. This ensures that a highly precise signal is transferred, with an extremely low distortion found below 20kHz. The ultra-low distortion spectrum below 20kHz is a similar process to that found in older valve amplifiers, forming a warm and smooth sonic performance that's both naturally balanced and drenched with detail.
Who is Project?
Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990s, beginning with the entry-level Debut model. It was a great success as all other turntables on the market at that time were at least £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project has gone on to extend the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high-end models.
