Rega Aphelion 

The flagship cartridge from Rega is dubbed the 'Aphelion' and is the company's third generation of uniquely built, quality moving coil cartridges. Utilising state of the art technology, the Aphelion takes the Rega name to a completely new level, despite their already very established reputation as one of the highest quality hifi manufacturers in their class. 

The Aphelion makes use of a new boron cantilever, accompanied by a high-powered neodymium magnet with a coil meticulously hand wound across an iron micro cross. This is 50% smaller than the previous model, allowing for the cartridge to track every element of the vinyl groove to a much higher accuracy due to the reduced level of weight.

Rega is a specialist hifi manufacturer based in Essex, UK and is renowned for developing and constructing some of the most highly regarded turntables (as well as cartridges and tonearms), electronics and loudspeakers available on the hifi market today. Rega was founded in 1973, and have honed their craft over many years of being a leading brand in every category they put a product to.

Rega design, engineer and put together their own range of turntable components and are world-renowned for doing so at a superior level. In conjunction to enhanced chassis and motor design principles, Rega takes meticulous care in putting together their tonearm and cartridge models. Many of these units can and are often used in conjunction with non-Rega turntable model.
