Rega are a specialist hifi manufacturer based in Essex, UK and are renowned for developing and constructing some of the most highly regarded turntables (as well as cartridges and tonearms), electronics and loudspeakers available on the hifi market today. Rega were founded in 1973, and have honed their craft over many years of being a leading brand in every category they put a product to.

Rega are most famous for their construction of multi-award winning turntable decks, utilising years of honed experience in the craft, using only quality materials and innovative design philosophies to form a superior product with every model.

The RP10 exemplifies Rega's design ethos of designing and engineering a product that refuses to compromise at each individual price-point. This unit makes use of a low mass, high rigidity plinth, an electronically low-vibration motor assembly, platter built with a 'flywheel effect and a low-mass, highly stable tonearm design. The RP10's is built from a unique structure of thin phenolic skins which sandwich an extremely light, nitrogen expanded, closed cell, polylefin foam core. This was first seen on the RP8.

The RP10's power supply is seated within a Rega-specific housing that utilises a crystal-controlled DSP (Digital Signal Processing) unit. This DSP has been factory enhanced to each individual motor. This motor construction allows for a drastically reduced resonance with near perfection when considering the stability and speed of the motor unit. The motor drives a luxurious ceramic platter via a CNC machined pulley system, with the sub-platter running in a bearing housing that was machined in a similar fashion.

The tonearm used for the RP10 is the hand-assembled RB2000.
