REL S/5 Active Subwoofer (Ex Display)

In an effort to rotate the stock we have on display, we are moving on our absolute mint condition REL S/5 premium subwoofer. Aesthetically and sonically flawless with the original packaging, accessories and manufacturers warranty included.  

When it comes to Subwoofer REL is arguably the top dog. But in a competitive market you cant sit still for long and at the beginning of the year the company stated that ‘R’ was out, and ‘S’ was in.

Although the two ranges may share more than a passing resemblance as soon as you remove the grill that changes. The New S series uses a new long-throw driver made from a tempered aluminium alloy called T-6063 which is alloyed primarily with magnesium and silicon. This alloy has excellent mechanical properties including very high tensile strength, and is produced with very smooth surfaces. The cabinet has been improved also with an extra thick 30mm MDF making it more rigid and heavier.

Sitting pretty at the top of this new series is the S5, featuring a powerful and efficient NextGen2 550W digital amplification, in combination with light yet rigid 15" woofer driver. The result is a highly immersive listening experience for both home theatre and music listening applications. When combined with REL's LongBow transmitter, the result is a highly versatile, wireless performance with an outstanding level of depth.
