Roksan launched it's first product in 1985 with the Xerxes turntable, which quickly gained public and press acclaim for it's excellent sound and build quality. Electronics products followed this initial launch, and it became apparent that Roksan looked at design problems with innovation and unique solutions, rather than tried and tested methods. This philosophy has paid off over the years, with superb products such as Roksan Radius 5 turntable, Kandy K2 amplifier and CD player, and the stunning Roksan M2 series.

While the Oxygen 30 is elegant and simplistic in appearance, behind its luxurious aesthetic is an extensive range of technological feats and design philosophies that allow the Oxygen 30 to not only look like a premium product, but perform to a truly premium level. Much of its technology can be found in the company's higher-end Xerxes 20+. 

The Oxygen 30 makes use of an intricate multi-layered plinth, configured in a four-piece assembly, designed with a newly developed large-mass mounting block for the motor housing. The main concept behind this multilayered plinth design is to isolate that surface playing the record, as well as the arm and cartridge, from external parasitic vibration or resonance that may otherwise compromise the integrity of the sound. Between each section of the plinth, a high-quality isolation material has been used for tuned decoupling. 

The platter consists of two pieces, a solid aluminium alloy inner and outer platter. When these two sections are combined, the result is a completely dampened and resonant-free operation.
