Rotel RKB-850 Eight Channel Amplifier

Audio experts Rotel have been designing, engineering and manufacturing some of the most prestigious power amplifiers for over half of a decade, claiming many awards as well as the ears and hearts of music lovers all over the world. This impressive level of experience and expertise has most recently been applied to their new range of rack-mountable custom installation amplifiers. These new amplifiers boast a bar-raising level of reliability, performance capability, and ease of installation. 

This new range consists of four Class D amplifiers, all of which come in two 8-channel configurations, possessing 50 watts channel and 100 watts per channel with all channels being driven at the same time. The RKB-850 contains analogue-only input functionality, while it's big brother, the RKB-D850 features both digital and analogue inputs.

The RKB850 and RKB-D850 have been rated at 8 x 50 watts RMS in to 8ohms all channels driven, and double that output into 4 ohms as a result of the intricacy and sophistication of their efficient Class D design. These amplifiers are highly durable and extremely reliable. Rotel have gone the extra mile in building a product that truly maximises its long-service life, featuring dual thermostatically controlled fans to alleviate heat from the output models and the power supply.

Both of the 50-watt channel models of the new RKB range feature input linking, through input A on the rear panel unit to allow the analogue (and digital in the case of the RKB-D850) signal on input A to be routed to all three other channels. This saves time and the need for additional wiring. Analogue Input A can also be used to reproduce a mono signal, allowing to channels of summed stereo-to-mono output.
