The third generation R2 embodies Ruark's principles in a timeless compact music system, which looks and sounds sublime. Whilst the new R2 may give the impression of being similar to its forerunners, through painstaking design, it has evolved so virtually everything about it is new. Notably, it incorporates technology which allows you to access your own music and broadcasts and discover new music in a variety of convenient ways.

The new R2 is undoubtedly a technological tour-de-force and one of the most desirable compact music systems available, but what makes the new R2 really special is its sound! Sound quality is Ruark's heritage and we believe that technology means little if the end result is a tinny or unnatural sound. The new R2 is a product which we are confident will bring fresh enjoyment to your everyday listening and hence the tagline - ‘made for music’. Also capable of multiroom functionality, the mark 3 Ruark R2 will happily talk to other units in the house to play the same song at the same time without a delay.

Who is Ruark?

Ruark Audio is a family-owned British company, founded in 1986, well known for their specialist speakers ranges, now specialise in compact lifestyle radio systems. The company found massive success with the launch of their first unit, the R1, which has since evolved into its third rendition. Shortly after the R1 was launched, a multitude of larger and more prolific products began to appear on Ruark's catalogue and soon after, the same products would be seen in kitchens, bedrooms, offices and living rooms all over the world.

Ruark Link App

Ruark has developed an app called Ruark Link, allowing you to wirelessly connect your mobile device to your Ruark system. Once downloaded you will be greeted on an 'Audio System' screen, allowing you to connect to your Ruark device of choice. Some devices have different options than others. The MRx, R2, R4 and R7 will be available to use on App. The app has quite a diverse amount of choices such as Spotify Connect, Internet Radio, DAB/FM and much more.
