The HD 660 S is the successor to the legendary HD 650 with an improved transducer design. Lower impedance compared to its predecessor means that it is easier to drive and can be used with portable media players as well as conventional hifi systems. Being able to be used on portable devices does not mean that Sennheiser have sacrificed sound quality, however, and the HD 660 S's feature balanced inputs for use with high-end equipment. Attention to detail applies to every aspect of these headphones as the transducers are selected and paired by hand so that the sound coming into each ear is as close as possible.
