The RS220 design is based on the famous HD600 platform (a wired, professional quality headphone) where the sound quality is exquisite audiophile grade quality. The audio signal is transmitted from the RS220 charging dock via DSSS (direct-sequence spread spectrum) which operates on the 2.4GHz frequency giving uncompressed, full bandwidth audio, and low latency (lip sync)  when watching movies and other high definition video sources.

To charge the headphones simply place them on the charging dock, a full battery charge gives eight of wireless audio listening. The transmitter/ charger dock has a wide range of input and output connection options on it's rear panel. There is an analogue stereo input on RCA phono sockets, a coaxial digital input also on a single RCA phono socket, and lastly a single optical toslink input. Each input is mirrored by the equivalent output, to allow an onward audio feed to other products, such as a TV sound bar for example. You can select your desired input source either from the front panel button of the transmitter dock, or from the selectable switch on the headphones themselves.

The headphones themselves have some handy controls located around the ear cups to help with your listening enjoyment - power on/ off, left to right sound balance and volume up and down, and of course the input selector switch.

The available transmitter to headphone range is 90 metres line of sight, or through walls and ceilings you should experience 9 to 30 metres depending upon the construction materials in use.

In use the RS220's are fantastic - you are untethered from your audio sources, however sound quality remains uncompromised. A very comprehensive accessory kit is included in the package, to allow you to connect to a variety of input sources and power sources around the world.
