Unison Research SH Headphone Amplifier
The SH Headphone Amplifier is based heavily around the principles and design ethos as that of the Simply Italy integrated amplifier. The SH utilises linear circuitry that produces a weighty and robust level of output, capable of driving a vast range of premium headphone models to their full potential, all the while keeping distortion to an absolute minimum throughout the entire frequency spectrum.
The input stage features ECC83 valves, while the output stage comprises one EL84 valve, these work in triode mode. This specific combination of valves results in a reduced power requirement for how the valves are usually employed, which in turn results in a much longer lifespan for the valves. The EL84’s ability to drive an output transformer with optimal electrical and sound qualities.
