VPI Super Scoutmaster The VPI Super Scout Master Signature wins the Absolute Sound's Golden Ear Award! The VPI Super Scout Master Signature improves the already wonderful JMW-9 tonearm. The Signature JMW-9 tonearm is completely wired with Nordost Valhalla! It also uses an improved bearing assembly, has added mass for better damping and adds fine adjustment of tracking force on the stem of the arm. It even has VPI\'s newest addition: mechanical anti-skate control! The Super Scout Master Signature now includes a specially designed acrylic and vinyl composite black platter which actually sounds much better than the original. The table still has the HR-X Motor Assembly with two smaller motors driving a huge flywheel which connects to the platter with the least amount of vibration transfer from the motors to the plinth. VPI\'s best inverted bearing and platter are included with this table, as well as the Outer-Ring Clamp. This clamp allows you to ensure the record is perfectly flat for the best possible tracking. The table also comes equipped with VPIís new Stainless Steel Center Weight for further coupling the LP to the platter and damping resonance.
