The new range of Yamaha Aventage AV Receivers as we have come to know and expect are designed to deliver the highest levels of audio performance for your home cinema setup, along with the solid build quality and reliability.
The RX-A550 is a 5.1 channel receiver which has been UK tuned by Yamaha and offers the latest features, including the latest in HDMI technology such as 4K Ultra HD Pass-through, HDMI 3D passthrough, HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC), 6 HDMI inputs, 1 HDMI out (HDCP2.2 compatible for 4K content), HDMI CEC to support your other HDMI products.
As well as this the RX-A550 offers built in Bluetooth & Wi-Fi with wireless direct for easy network. With the built in Wi-Fi you enjoy network audio and music streaming services such as Internet Radio and Spotify AirPlay for Apple devices as well as the use of Yamaha's great AV Controller App. You can even stream you music from a PC/NAS drive direct to the receiver.
If you don't have a Wi-Fi router don't worry, Wireless Direct allows you to use the AV Controller App to link your devices to allow features such as streaming music direct from your smartphone or tablet including AirPlay etc. You can also use the AV Controller App to control the receiver.
The AV Controller App can be used to power on/off the system, volume controls, input selection, DSP modes, and more all from your iPhone/iPad or Android devices. You can customise the App interface to rename inputs and remove icons that you don't use to make for easier use.
Compatibility with many different audio formats is also a key feature of this receiver. Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio to ensure the best from your favourite Blu Ray movies, along with high resolution audio codec such as DSD/AIFF/FLAC/WAV/Apple Lossless, to ensure you can get the very best out of your music.
