Yamaha YSP4100 digital sound projector

Yamaha are the market leader in cinema sound bars and practically invented the product category. Now in its 4th generation of product, we are delighted to present the YSP-4100 digital sound projector for stunningly realistic surround sound in the home without the usual wires, clutter and mess of a traditional 5.1 surround package. Make no mistake, using DSP technology and multiple drivers creates 5 discreet sound channels in the same way a conventional speaker package would.
Outputs five sound beams at once corresponding to front left, centre, front right, rear left and rear right channels of a conventional surround speaker system. These 5 sound beams are reflected off the side walls of the living room - the material of the walls is largely irrelevant, the projector can create sound fields by reflecting sound beams off wood, leather, glass, stone walls, plasterboard. Where there is no wall, furniture and ornaments, picture frames and doors can also successfully reflect the sound.
Many of us have flat panel LCD or plasma TV's in our living rooms which create stunning images via a blu-ray player or Sky HD box, but the sound quality of the TV speakers is often very poor indeed. Why put up with superb colorful pictures but with 'black and white' sound? To get a true cinematic experience, you need to improve the sound so that the HD picture quality is matched by HD sound. With just one sound projector you can experience authentic 7.1 home cinema surround sound.

Equipped with an integrated AV receiver, and contains all the power, connectivity and features you would expect from a stand alone Yamaha AV receiver, for example 4 HDMI inputs, 1 HDMI output, 2 optical digital audio inputs, 1 coaxial digital audio input and 2 analogue audio inputs. The latest surround sound formats including Dolby True HD and DTS HD master audio can all be decoded and replayed in crystal clear quality by the Yamaha YSP4100.
You can select between a 5.1 or 7.1 playback mode, and even still a FM tuner is built in.

For the easiest possible setup procedure, Yamaha Intellibeam setup functionality is present, simply connect the supplied microphone, place it at the listening position and then let it measure your room and calibrate the five sound beams.

iPod or iPhone can be made without any wires, using lossless Yamaha Airwired technology.
