With a 250mm long throw cone and 200W class D power amplifier behind it, the B&W ASW610 really kicks out when required in movie soundtracks, but is also subtle and tuneful enough to enhance the low-frequency performance of a small pair of standmount loudspeakers in a music system.
A unique, very stiff cone material comprising a mixture of resin, paper pulp and kevlar fibres means that there is no distortion whether playing loud or soft, and dynamics are dramatically enhanced by the long throw capability of this driver.
The braced, acoustically invert cabinet further serves the low-frequency extension and control of this excellent subwoofer.

While the unit may not be 100% perfect aesthetically, the sound and performance remain uncompromised.
