A very well specified receiver at it's price point, the Denon AVR1612 is a 5.1 channel receiver with power output of 5 x 75W into 8Ω. Discrete components are used in the power amplifiers rather than inferior integrated circuit amplifiers, delivering greater power and great sound quality .
With 4 in and 1 out HDMI ports, there will be plenty of connection options for the rest of your AV system. Each HDMI is ver 1.4a with full 3D compatibility and audio return channel, simplifying your wiring. High definition audio decoding is of course part of the feature list from Denon, with Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio on offer, all precision converted by 24 bit 192kHz DACs for best possible sound quality.
Audyssey MultiEq room correction makes initial setup a cinch, accurately compensating for troublesome room acoustics. A GUI (graphical user interface) makes negociating the various on screen menus a simple and enjoyable task. iPod is well catererd for, either accepting connection via the front panel USB socket, or with the addition of a Denon iPod dock.
