A two-box setup enables the pre and power amplifiers to be run by separate power supplies resulting in a cleaner signal as the inductive effects of the large currents in the power amplifier are isolated from the sensitive components of the pre-amplifier.

The QXR DAC can handle file formats up to and including 32bit, 384k and DSD 256, making this one of the most technologically advanced amplifiers on the market today. our matching power amplifiers. By separating the preamp into its own chassis and providing a dedicated power supply the preamp can resolve more detail. Complete with a built-in DAC, the preamp is compatible with a very wide range of sources such as CD players, streamers or your TV digital audio.

Built-in Hi-Res QXR DAC: The Pre2 DAC QXR has the high-performance QXR DAC built in, bringing optical and coaxial inputs and an asynchronous USB connection allowing plug-and-play connectivity to a PC or Laptop. The QXR DAC is the latest in advanced design capable of handling 32bit/384k and DSD256 Hi-Res.

Pre Amplifier: The Pre2 DAC QXR offers a sonic step up in performance from our integrated amplifiers. This is achieved because the preamplifier circuitry has its own, dedicated power supply. The internal power supply provides isolation from
the demands of other system elements, making available an additional level of dynamics and resolution.
Essential Connectivity: Six analogue inputs, a high-quality headphone amplifier, Zone 2 and dual pre-amplifier outputs give the Pre2 DAC QXR flexibility for connecting a wide variety of audio devices. There is also a PSX-R port on the Pre2
DAC QXR allows connectivity of the instant upgrade off-board power supply.

The QXR works with numerous Cyrus products, not only improving the core performance through the addition of the 32bit/768k DAC but the all-new asynchronous USB bridge with also substantially improves the overall performance of the headphone amplifier section in these integrated amplifiers. 

The Pre₂ DAC is a high-quality preamplifier, offering a superlative sonic performance by taking the input switching and volume control componentry and integrating it within its own chassis, along with its own dedicated power supply. The Pre DAC, as its name would suggest, also features an onboard 24/192 digital to analogue decoder chipset, making the unit highly compatible with a vast array of sources.
