The Z Series is Quad's flagship ribbon tweeter loudspeaker range, designed and engineered to offer a more refined level of detail and clarity over previous models and competitor speakers on the market. Utilising a quality Kevlar driver design and a unique sandwich formation, a particularly robust and room-filling speaker is possible, while the new ribbon tweeter development allows for delicate microdynamics to stand out and not get lost in this punchy, warm bass/midrange. Each Z series loudspeaker is housed within a luxurious piano lacquered cabinet; available in one of three finishes. 

The Z-4 is the flagship loudspeaker model within Quad's esteemed Z series. Building upon the Z-3's configuration, the Z4 features an array of four woven kevlar bass/midrange woofers and the same open, detailed ribbon tweeter design. These premium drive units are housed within a beautifully curved cabinet, finished with a luxurious piano lacquer in your choice of black, white or rosewood. 

Who is Quad?

Quad is a highly renowned manufacturer of quality hifi electronics and loudspeakers, having developed award-winning audiophile-standard products standard for over 80 years, their highly acclaimed reputation is well-earned. The company originally built speakers for public address, moving onto domestic hifi following the end of the war. The first commercially available products were the Quad 22 Pre-amp and Quad II Monoblock Power Amplifiers, both of which were on the market for ten years to great success. 

Quad now develop a wide range of hifi products at varying price points, such as the S Series, Z Series, Electrostatic Series of loudspeakers and accompanying amplifier ranges the Vena and QII Series. Quad also build a range of Active Loudspeakers.
