The SR80i from Grado builds upon the highly capable technology found within the company's SR60i model. The SR80i features a connecting cable that utilises 4 conductors to drastically improve signal transfer quality, while the unique and specialised 'de-stressing' technique the SR80i's diaphragms are subject to enhances the inner-detail of the headphones even further, resulting in a far wider sound stage.
The driver design within the SR80i is larger than lesser models and is able to move air powerfully with precision to allow every sonic detail to be experienced by the listener. An improved bass resonance within the headphones enhances the overall detail of the sound even further. The level of control of the upper and low ranges of the frequency spectrum that the SR80i possess are a prime example of why Grado's midrange response is so well regarded
