The initial power source is the very first block in any hifi system, and is often overlooked when considering the best possible components for the most enhanced audio experience. Isol-8's PowerLine range consists of several Power Distribution Units (often shortened to PDU) that have been designed and engineered with a meticulous level of expertise and innovation, in order to allow you to lift the performance of your entire hifi system. when combined with an IsoLink shielded mains cable, the PowerLine models work to their full potential and will offer an exemplary performance.

All models within the PowerLine series feature a thick, 6mm CNC'd aluminium top plate. This is the mechanical foundation of the block, offering a non magnetic and non resonant profile. The cable inputs are IEC connections, with a Neutrik PowerCon option on several models to provide great flexibility at an affordable price. All models feature a hinged to cover to IP54, which protects unused outlets from external elements like dirt, dust and small fingers. The cabling within each block has been carefully selected and consists of silver plated copper with PTFE insulation throughout the entire construction, allowing for a practically flawless power transmission. 

In theory, the waveform with a power outlet should be pure AC - a perfect and symmetrical sine wave. This is not really the case however, as the waveform can arrive at the end user as a clipped, distorted and asymmetrical signal with a significant DC voltage component. The AC transformers used within equipment power supplies are not designed to tolerate or withstand significant DC signals without being compromised in some way. The PowerLine Axis features five, high quality power outlets served by an intricate and meticulously engineered network, designed to recentre the voltage axis of the mains waveform - essentially eliminating any DC voltage on the mains power supply. This means that mechanical hum is simply not present, and the sound of your hifi is not compromised. The Axis is also equipped with surge protection functionality.
