Marantz PM6006 Integrated Amplifier - UK Edition

For the UK Editions Of the PM6006 and the CD6006 the audio tuning team has revisited the amp and CD player, improving components throughout to deliver even better sound, and designing a new Special UK Edition logo incorporating the Union Flag to set them apart from the standard models.

The PM6006 Special edition UK from Marantz builds upon the outstanding quality and high standards set by its predecessor, the PM6006. Offering more detail, a wider soundstage, refined detail and punchier bass. The pre-amp and power-amp sections of the 6006 are identical to the earlier model, following a strong 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' philosophy - these sections feature discrete components with no IC used within the signal path, ensuring a top-quality level of amplification. 

The PM6006 is upgraded for peak current at the amplifier stage, which allows for the same level of power and prowess as with the previous model, but a much more refined and detail sound quality. The 6006 features an integrated DAC, so your digital sources (including televisions) are supported to a superior standard, with the ability to decode digital signals up to 24bit/192kHz. 

The digital section is fully shielded by an additional metal housing, guaranteeing no interference between the digital and analogue stages of the amplifier. The 6006 features five line-level audio inputs (including phono/turntable), two pairs of gold-plated speaker terminals (run two rooms at once) and 3 digital inputs. 

Rega Planar 1 Turntable 

The state-of-the-art Planar 1 from Rega is the company's most user-friendly deck so far, with a preset bias force on the newly developed RB110 tonearm - the Planar 1 is essentially ready from the box. All that's required is for the balance weight to be clipped onto the back of the tonearm as far as it will go, remove the stylus guard, and then hear your music as it as intended to be heard.

Every element of the Planar 1 has been carefully and vigorously improved upon earlier designs. The Planar 1 now runs a 24v, low-noise, synchronous motor. This drastically reduces any potential vibration that may otherwise negatively affect the sound of your record. The turntable comes supplied with the RB110 tonearm as standard. This arm uses Rega's exclusive zero-bearings design.

DALI Spektor 2 Loudspeakers

The Spektor 2 builds upon the design philosophy of the Spektor 1, seeing the same technological benefits and componentry integrated into a larger cabinet. The larger inner volume of the cabinet allows for a heightened and more controlled level of bass performance, and while the cabinet is larger than that of its little brother - the Spektor 2 is still a compact and unobtrusive model. 

The wood fibre woofer is  5¼” in size, which combined with its 25mm soft dome tweeter, offers a more dynamic sound performance across the frequency spectrum. Ideal for larger rooms, the Spektor is an immersive sounding loudspeaker with a subtle, unobtrusive aesthetic.
