Project's 2 Xperience SB DC makes use of the company's well-known expertise in turntable manufacturing and builds upon the 2 Xperience belt-drive concept. This model sees an additional precision motor control with electronic speed change functionality to offer a high performing and easy-to-use process. Project has used the high-end 9CC Evolution carbon fibre tonearm for this model, meaning that the signal transfer from vinyl to the platter is uncompromising, thanks to the arm's anti-resonant properties. 

Every essence of the 2 Xperience SB DC is anti-resonant, from the high-quality MDF chassis and its meticulous construction technique to the platter itself, being developed of equally anti-resonant materials and precisely balanced 'sandwich' configuration. The platter features a vinyl layer, acting as an ideal turntable mat while a screw-able and light-weight record clamp enhance the stability of the record during playback, removing wobbles and the negative effects on the sound quality these have. 

Fitted to the unit as standard is the 2M Silver magnet cartridge from Ortofon, capable of retrieving every microdynamic from the depths of the grooves of your favourite vinyl record, and relaying this information through its silver voice coils to the main turntable unit. An acrylic dust cover is also included. 

Who is Project?

Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990s, beginning with the entry-level Debut model. It was a great success, like all other turntables on the market at that time were at least  £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project has gone on to extend the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high-end models.
