Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990's, beginning with the entry level Debut model. It was a great success, as all other turntables on the market at that time were at least £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project have gone on to extend the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high end models.ProJect are famous for engineering, designing and manufacturing some of the most critically acclaimed turntables in the market. This is due to the care and attention that ProJect take during the entire process of creating their products; precisely choosing and building each individual component with the highest standards of quality. The tonerarms that Project produce undergo the same vigorous design process, as the tonearm is often considered the most important part of the turntable.
Constructed with a highly rigid, low mass arm tube made from carbon fibre, the Project 9cc tonearm can handle moving coil or moving magnet cartridges with ease. An inverted bearing ensures the cartridge tracks the groove to extract maximum information, whilst VTA is set easily by setting the arm height at the arm pillar. Azimuth can also be set by rotating the arm tube , so you can get the most from your cartridge. Oxygen free copper wiring is fitted to ensure all of the musical detail is transferred to your amplifier.
