This model requires no counterweight or anti-skating adjustments, as both are pre-adjusted by Project engineers before being sold. The turntable uses a new straight tonearm, optimised for use with the Ortofon OM cartridge series. The only thing you need to do upon purchasing the turntable is removed it from its box, remove the bearing guard/stylus guard, place the belt on the plater and connect it to your hifi system - or computer. 

Project has utilised 'gravity mass point' technology to absorb and reduce any unwanted resonance or motor vibration. This technology uses an artificial 'stone', which is located right beneath the platter bearing for optimum functionality. The Elemental Phono USB tempers beautiful simplicity with phenomenal and well-thought-out vinyl reading capability.

Who is Project?

Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990s, beginning with the entry-level Debut model. It was a great success, like all other turntables on the market at that time were at least  £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project has gone on to extend the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high-end models.
