Rega's new Kyte loudspeakers have been both designed and built in the UK, using all-new handmade drivers, manufacturing techniques and a unique cabinet design. The Kyte's deliver the true Rega sound at an affordable price using Rega's own ZRR HF Tweeter Unit and a handmade matching pair of their MX-125 mid-bass drivers.

Rega has become famous for its ideology of defying the norm and focuses entirely on building high-quality products using their own designs, which produce world-beating sounds at affordable prices using real engineering at its core. To produce a British made loudspeaker at such an affordable price point presented an issue to Rega. Where most mainstream manufacturers produce their speakers from a rectangular, veneer covered wooden box, Rega took a different approach, even going as far as hand building their own drive units and crossovers.

The loudspeaker market has always demanded speakers to be furniture and since the ’90s European manufacturers were left with the choice of either Far Eastern manufacturing or inflated prices for well built wooden cabinets. However, recent times have seen the world change styling perceptions and there has been a wholesale investment in modern moulding shapes and the use of functional materials. This more recent domestic acceptance of non-wood functional cabinet shapes has allowed Rega to achieve a long term dream. They have made a massive investment into compression moulding of stiff polymer phenolic resin and collaborated with a British company to achieve it. The natural stiffness of phenolic resin is a big advantage which has been further enhanced with ceramic bracing and a cross brace structure internally. This unique cabinet construction has been achieved at one-third of the price of other British made quality loudspeakers.

Rega is a specialist HiFi manufacturer based in Essex, UK and is renowned for developing and constructing some of the most highly regarded turntables (as well as cartridges and tonearms), electronics and loudspeakers available on the HiFi market today. Rega was founded in 1973, and have honed their craft over many years of being a leading brand in every category they put a product to.
