Rega P1 Plus

The new Rega P1 Plus is one of the first ever Rega turntable to include an integrated moving magnet phono stage, using the same Plinth, Platter, Tone Arm (The RB110) and the same Carbon Cartridge as the Planar 1, we already know that this turntable is going to be a huge hit as the Planar 1 is so successful.

The Built-in Phono Stage

The Built-in phono stage in the P1 Plus is a high specification pre-amplifier. This amp is designed to amplify the signal from a moving magnet cartridge to a suitable level for all line level inputs of an appropriate system or an audio amplifier. What this allows is a simple connection to a wide variety of products which use a standard twin phono to phono lead (which is supplied) or a 3.5mm plug (which is not supplied).

Tonearm

The brand new RB110 tonearm is built with Rega's new bespoke, zero play bearings design; what this causes is an ultra-low friction performance. The new bias assembly and integrated arm clip include an automatic bias adjustment which removes the need for the user to set bias, making this the most 'Plug and Play' turntable Rega have ever manufactured. New ergonomically, re-designed and stiffer headshell for improved usability and appearance.

Cartridge

The P1 Plus uses the Rega Carbon Moving Magnet Cartridge - this is supplied as standard on the purchase

Motor

The motor on the P1 Plus consists of a 24v, synchronous AC motor with a new PCB and aluminium pulley which offers low noise and better speed stability.

Plinth

The brand new Thermoset, gloss laminated plinth with incredible detail put into its appearance now features a positioned on/off switch which is located on the underside of the turntable. The two plinth finishes available are Gloss Black and Gloss White.

Central Bearing Housing

The re-designed brass main bearing will offer a vastly improved fit and will remove a lot of stress on the bearing itself, whilst minimising the transfer of potential energy at the same time.

Platter

Keeping it simplistic with a 23mm, high mass, phenolic platter with an improved flywheel effect for more enhanced and improved stability.

Re-Designed Feet

The feet on the P1 Plus have been completely reworked to greatly increase the amount of stability the turntable has and to reduce, if not completely remove any sort of vibration transfer.

Motor Cover Tray

The newly designed motor cover tray comes with integrated cooling to keep the turntable steady.

Balance Weight

New 111g ‘Plug and Play’ balance weight.
