A new internal layout has bought about a whole host of sonic improvements to this award winning amplifier - the 500VA toroidal mains transformer now benefits from the screening properties of the aluminium heatsink, and additionally is positioned as far away as possible from the sensitive pre-amp circuitry. With the ability to play CD's CD-R and CD-RW discs, the front loading Roksan Kandy K2 CD Player has evolved from the previous Kandy CD Mk3 player in both styling and audio engineering. A new single motherboard is now employed which has been optimised for analogue and digital circuitry, with short signal paths and separate ground tracks, giving this CD Player a very low noise and dynamic sound performance. Featuring the all-new Uni-Q driver array and a 6.5-inch LF bass driver, the three-way KEF R300 lacks for nothing. Its stylishly uncluttered appearance beautifully complements the fast and clean mid-range response, along with accurate and clean low-end frequencies.
