Thorens TD-240-2 Turntable
Constructed from high-quality materials, and in the form of a classic design, the TD-240-2 looks and operates as lovely as it sounds. This fully automatic turntable makes use of a large, dense and stable plinth built from real wood. This is available in piano lacquer, black crackle, or a light walnut finish to retain the timeless image as well as act as a solid, anti-resonant base for the entire process of playing back vinyl.
The tonearm used by the TD-240-2 is the newly developed TP 19-1, built by Thorens, and utilises a high-quality Audio Technica AT-95 cartridge. The belt drive operates below the main platter of the turntable at an essentially silent level to ensure a precise and untampered playback. Setting up and connecting the TD-240-1 is effortless, meaning the unit is ready pretty much from unboxing.
