The DS-2 Bluetooth speaker system delivers Hi-Fi sound in a miniaturised form; these speakers can be perfectly placed on a desk, table or even a shelf. When it comes to using any sort of Bluetooth speaker below the £200 range, the sound will start to disappoint you; their lack of proper stereo, poor sonic definition and small-scale soundstage leaving music sounding somewhat distantly flat. Wharfedale’s new DS-2 stereo Bluetooth speaker system is an entirely different proposition. It’s based on the now-discontinued DS-1, a similarly diminutive pair of Bluetooth speakers widely acknowledged as the best available under £200 – little desktop speakers that sound fantastic for such a small value of money. In 2015 the DS-2 won the What Hi-fi award.  The DS-2 has an impressively agile and articulate sound for their size and price. 

Who is Wharfedale?

Started by a Yorkshireman, Gilbert Briggs in 1932, Wharfedale is one of the most famous loudspeaker brands in the world today. With a huge R&D department and manufacturing facility making over 200 in-house drive unit designs, they are focused on open-backed chassis technology, curved cabinets for reduced internal reflection, kevlar weave cones and powerful neodymium magnets to achieve incredible sound quality at each price point. The Diamond is the most famous and successful model to date, and lives on today with it's the latest version; the Diamond 11 series.
