Wharfedale have been designing and engineering quality loudspeaker models for over 80 years and are regarded as one of the most reputable brands in the industry. 

They've put this outstanding reputation and superior product knowledge to good use with their latest loudspeaker package, the DX-1SE. Building from technologies and advances found with the five-star DX-1 HCP, the DX-1SE is designed to offer an impacting and dynamic sound response while taking up as little space as possible. The package consists of four satellite speakers, a centre channel speaker and a compact active subwoofer. 

The satellite and centre units are inspired by the company's renowned Diamond series, but stand only 19cm tall. Each of the speakers comprise of a 19mm silk dome tweeter for crisp and detailed highs, while the 75mm woven polypropylene cone mid/bass cone is able to move vast amounts of air with great speed, thanks to the lightness and strength of the material. 

The subwoofer, dubbed 'WH-D8' uses a 200mm long-throw bass cone, powered by a 120-watt internal amplifier to offer a superlative bass response, complete with the control and power one would expect from any loudspeaker system designed and built by Wharfedale.
