Audiolab 8200A integrated amplifier with 2 x 60W output available from Hifi Gear

The all new Audiolab 8200A has been designed from the ground-up using the original 8000A design as a design framework - those of you familiar with classic Audiolab products will identify similar operational features, such as multi-operating modes of integrated amplifier, pre-power, preamplifier and pre-power AV for use in home cinema systems.

With 2 x 60W power output, it has plenty of power for most applications.

The circuit design features discrete components throughout (no IC's) with J-FET transistors at the input stage and a four stage bipolar transistor output stage for low distortion. The 6 line inputs of the Audiolab 8200A are switched using silent gold plated relays and motorised rotary input switches, all under the control of the Audiolab IR remote control. Stereo line inputs are provided for CD, Tuner, and Aux, whilst the Audiolab 8200A has two tape loops and a video loop are good news for those customers with recording devices. Two stereo preamplifier outputs are available for driving multiple power amplifiers, whilst the power amp can be driven independantly if required via the power amp in sockets. Quadruple speaker output terminals are availabe to assist with bi-wiring. Top quality components abound inside the 8200A including Alps Blue motorised volume control, low tolerance metal film resistors and polyester capacitors. The aluminium casework avoids eddy currents circulating and results in a transparent, crisp and dynamic sound quality. A headphone socket is provided on the front panel for private listening. The Audiolab 8200A is set to become our favourite sub £1000 integrated amplifier.
