If you are looking to upgrade your moving magnet cartridge to a moving coil type for improved sound quality, you may have a problem if your current amplifier only has a moving magnet input, as the low output of most MC cartridges will not be enough to achieve high volumes. This unit solves this problem, by boosting the weak output of MC cartridges to MM level, which is a gain of approximately x13 times.
Operating as a step up transformer, it eliminates the pitfalls of transformers such as hum pick up and limited frequency response by dispensing with the transformer altogether and replacing it with sophisticated wide bandwidth electronics. With wide stability margin and a flat frequency response from DC to 1MHz, it is extremely resistant to RF interference and hum. The metal shielded casework is a natural barrier to noise and hum, whilst the filtered power supply input provides further shielding to noise ingress.
The front panel switch allows the user to select six different load impedance settings to suit your cartridge and sound tastes to perfection. Coming complete with the external Graham Slee PSU1 regulated power supply, the Graham Slee Elevator EXP will heighten your listening pleasure.
