Graham Slee Accession MM Phono Stage
The Accession MM is a phono preamplifier, designed and engineered specifically for vinyl enthusiasts using a different form of technology to traditional phono stages. The result is a much more dynamic level of detail, a warmer, richer sound overall. The Accession understands that record equalisation is quite a complex process, complicated further by limitations of the technology involved. Record EQ and phono preamps generally don't take into consideration the specifics of the cartridge being used, which has a rising response.
The cartridge output rises at a rate of 6dB per octave, a 45-degree slope, and is entirely different from the EQ applied to the vinyl record. The Accession combats the issue brought about by this by simply treating the two different EQs independently. The Accession removes the cartridge's contribution to the frequency response and then deals with the record EQ.
